Jett the Lazy Husky

I had never designed anything like a comic or graphic novel before and so I decided I should try my hand at it. I am not much of a drawer, but I knew I had a ton of photos of Jett, my dog, so I could maybe use those in whatever project I came up with. I went through photos of Jett, grouping them together to go with the story, and editing them along the way. I wrote out the text, drew some other graphic elements I knew I wanted to include, made a font using my own handwriting, and started to design. This was definitly a challenge since it was the first thing like this I had ever designed and I needed to get used to it a bit. I learned to break the grid, bend the rules, and try to make it a bit more playful. I am in the process of getting this printed right now, (my printer did not do it justice), but see below for the full story!
