I created this cookbook for my senior design degree project. I did all of photography and design and writing, besides the recipes I was given. Baking has always been a large part of my life and especially baking chocolate chip cookies. Growing up, my mom and sister and I would bake chocolate chip cookies at least twice a week. It was a comfortable space for us where we could come together and talk for a half an hour or so before heading back into our individual, busy lives.

Beyond this, the chocolate chip cookie is an American staple. Most have happy or nostalgic memories while eating a chocolate chip cookie. It feels like a warm hug from your mom in cookie form. I wanted to learn about other people’s recipes for this classic and that turned into this book. I made all the recipes in this book and got to taste each dough and cookies. The amount of cookie dough in my freezer by the end of this project was inconceivable.
