Book Binding

After having all the books I have ever designed be sent out to get published by an outsider, I wanted to try my hand at it. I really liked the idea that I had done every single thing to make this book, from creating the art that lives within its pages, to designing each page and typesetting the text, to binding all the signatures together. So, I taught myself this binding method. I printed 12 signatures consisting of 32 pages each, got out my handmade paper from Laos, found my mom’s sewing kit, and got to work. Below is a sampling of pages I bound.
